Do you have what it takes to be an e-entrepreneur?

Do you have what it takes to be an e-entrepreneur?

These days, it seems like everyone wants to work
from home and make money on the Internet. But
before you even turn on your computer, the first
question you have to ask yourself is whether
you’re cut out for this kind of work.

The fact is, building a home-based business isn’t
for everyone. Some people like the commute. They
really do enjoy having a boss who tells them what
to do, and they like the routine of working
nine-to-five for an ordinary salary that can
barely pay the mortgage. Personally, I think
they’re nuts.

More reasonably, there are people who are
concerned about the risk of starting up their own
business. They’re not sure it’s worth the
investment of time and money, and they’re scared
of the responsibility that comes with running
their own company. They wonder if there is
another way to escape the rat race.

I’m sure there is. You could win the lottery or
wait for your Aunt Sue to keel over and leave you
her condo. Or maybe you could sit down with a pen
and paper and draw the blueprint for "The Next
Big Thing". Anything can happen... Right?

For me, what happened was creating a successful,
self-running Internet marketing system. It didn’t
happen without effort. It didn’t happen without
at least some initial investment of both time and
money and, of course, it doesn’t happen now
without me making sure that the taxes are filed
and the paperwork is done. But it happened.

I’m my own boss. I work from home according to my
own schedule and I get to pocket all the cash my
business makes. If you’re prepared to give an
e-business the time, the work and the money it
needs to get started and get growing, it can
happen for you too.

How to be a Better Parent

How to be a Better Parent by Joseph Then

Being a parent is one of the most important jobs anyone can
have. It takes a lot of work and determination to be a loving
and supportive parent to any child. There are a few things that
you can do to become a better parent and produce happier and
healthier children. Some of the following tips will help you
through some very tough situations with any child.

The one thing to remember is that all parents get frustrated.
Children can take a lot of time and energy. Parenting is so hard
when you have problems in your life like worrying about your
job, your bills or problems with your relationships. It is even
worse when there are problems like drugs or alcohol. Being a
good parent depends on taking care of you even if it means
getting help with certain problems.

It is always good to take a break when you are frustrated.
Everyone needs to take a break from being a parent occasionally.
If you have someone else in your family that can help out, take
turns getting away from it for a while. Take turns with your
spouse or other family members with things like sleeping late on
weekends, or running errands.

There is not just one way to be a good parent. There is no such
thing as a perfect parent or a perfect child for that matter.
You should show your love to your children. Tell them how you
feel and that they are special to you. That is the most
important part of being a good parent.

Make sure that you listen when your children are talking. Tell
them that they are important and that you are interested in what
they are saying. Another part of being a good parent is to make
your child feel safe. Comfort them when they are scared. Do not
say things to scare them or let them in on family troubles. This
could only frighten them and make them worry.

Good parenting also requires you to praise your children. When
your children learn something new or achieve certain goals, you
should tell them how proud you are of them. When your child
makes a mistake, you should never say they were bad. Being a
good parent means that you should explain what they did and why
it was wrong.

Be consistent with your child and keep your rules clear to them.
If you have more than one child, treat them equally and do not
favor one child over another. Being a good parent means all of
the above and so much more. Take your time and enjoy each moment
that you have with your child.

Pain Relief from Neck and Shoulder Pain My Top 5 Favorite Ways

Pain Relief from Neck and Shoulder Pain My Top 5 Favorite Ways by Wendy Young

Copyright 2006 Wendy Young

When you are experiencing neck and shoulder pain at your
computer, there are simple actions you can take to help you feel
better.

It is very important to understand how your body reacts with the
design of your computer work area. Of equal concern is choosing
products to help you rather than create additional pain. It can
be just as simple as adjusting or rearranging your equipment and
furniture.

Monitor Height Placement

If you bend your neck back to see the monitor, it is too high.
If you bend your neck down, your monitor is too low.

Let your head rest naturally and it will tilt slightly forward.
You have left the office too many times with sore muscles!

When looking straight ahead, your line of sight is the imaginary
horizontal line from your eyes to the screen. Your eyes
naturally gaze down 15 - 20 degrees below your line of sight.
Adjust the height to easily view the information on the screen
where your eyes naturally gaze.

Center Keyboard with Monitor

If your keyboard is placed directly in front of your body and
your monitor is situated to the right or left you will be forced
to twist your neck to view the screen. Ouch! This twist will
tense the muscles in your neck.

The longer you work with your muscles tensed the higher risk of
developing neck and shoulder pain.

Adjust Your Chair Armrest Height

How often do you feel as if your neck is almost touching your
shoulder? Too often, right!

Let's not make it easy to tense your shoulders. If your armrests
are too high, you will be raising (and tensing!) your shoulders
up and creating pain.

Due to the tendency to lean to the side with armrests too low
you may also create pain in the elbows and ulnar nerve. The
ulnar nerve is the one you feel all the way down into your
pinkie finger when hitting your elbow. Watch this one!

Adjust your armrests so that your shoulders are completely
relaxed and elbows rest comfortably on armrests.

Eliminate Your Chair Armrests Altogether

Do your armrests prevent you from getting close to your keyboard
because they hit the edge of your desk? This is a source of
mental stress many of us have experienced.

You will also create tense neck and shoulder muscles due to the
straight arm reach to the keyboard and mouse.

So in this case, remove the armrests.

Move Mouse Closer To Your Body

Moving and clicking your mouse frequently when it is too far
away can create shoulder pain - use a shorter footprint,
ergonomic keyboard without the right hand numeric keypad or a
mouse that is placed at the center of the body.

You may also try a keyboard with the numeric keypad on the left,
your keyboard and monitor will be balanced more easily.

As always, REST, REST and MORE REST every 10 minutes for 10
seconds and every hour for five (5) minutes.

Stand up and stretch often as this will relax your mind and
body, improve circulation and create more productivity.

Go Live in Comfort!

Migraine Headaches Be Gone

Migraine Headaches Be Gone by Amanda Baker

Twenty-Four million people in the United States alone suffer
from migraines. A migraine is typically a throbbing or pulsing
headache, often focused on one-side of the head, and associated
with nausea, sensitivity to light and sound, as well as certain
smells. Attacks are typically recurring, and can be less severe
as the migraine sufferer ages.

Migraines can occur at any age, but typically begin between the
ages of 10 and 40. While some people experience several
migraines a month, a select few only have a few migraines
throughout their lifetime. Nearly 75% of migraine sufferers are
women. Though migraines can happen at any time, some women
experience migraines just prior to or during mentruation. These
migraines, called menstrual migraines, are related to hormonal
changes and often do not occur during pregnancy. Meanwhile, some
women only develop migraines for the first time during
pregnancy, or even after menopause.

The actual cause of a migraine is unknown. It is believed,
however, that the condition results from a series of reactions
in the central nervous system, usually caused by changes in the
body or in the environment. Migraines often appear to be
inherited, as there is often a family history of the condition.
These migraine sufferers may inherit the sensitivity to triggers
that produce inflammation in blood vessels and nerves around the
brain, which cause pain.

The signs and symptoms of migraine pain are often intense and
severe, described by throbbing or pulsating pain that only gets
intensified by routine physical activity, coughing, straining,
or even moving the head. These headaches can often gets so
severe that they interfere with the day-to-day activity of a
person. Sleeping migraine sufferers can be awakened by the
attack, which can also cause a numbing sensation in hands and
lips, as well as interfere with eyesight and vision for the
duration of the attack. Migraines can be so debilitating -
causing sufferers to feel tired and weak even long after the
migraine has passed.

Migraines typically begin in a specific area, usually on one
side of the head, and can spread and build in intensity over a
course of a few hours, then gradually subside. They can last an
entire day, or in some extremely severe cases, several days.

The problem with migraine symptoms is that they are as varied as
the individual sufferer. The strange sensations, such as
tingling or the feeling of numbness, are known as auras, and can
start anywhere from ten to thirty minutes before the migraine
pain actually sets in.

Migraine treatment is possible. Knowing what triggers your
migraines and avoiding them is one of the best ways to avoid a
migraine. Treating acute attacks as they appear is crucial.
Talking to your doctor, who may prescribe regular use of a
preventative mediation can also be the way to go. Over the
counter treatments for migraines can be helpful, as well as
resting or sleeping in a completely dark and quiet place.

Dentistry Without Anxiety – Sedation Dentistry

Dentistry Without Anxiety – Sedation Dentistry by Jonathan Fashbaugh

Fear or anxiety over dental work has kept many people from having certain dental procedures done. Now, thanks to advancements in the dental industry, sedation dentistry allows patients to get the dental work that they need while being comfortably and safely sedated.

Although the patient does not feel any pain or remember anything, the patient is not entirely unconscious. The patient is simply in a state of extreme relaxation.

A patient may choose to be sedated by taking a pill an hour before the procedure. Sedation by nitrous oxide or intravenous injection is also available. Sedation dentists monitor patient vital signs throughout the procedure, thereby maintaining a safe level of sedation. The sedation can last for varying amounts of time. The patient can be given a smaller dose for procedures that last up to an hour, or a larger dose for multiple procedures that will relax the patient for up to six hours.

Sedation dentistry can be helpful in a variety of situations. For instance, sedation dentistry is commonly used with individuals who have an extreme fear or anxiety associated with dentistry procedures, perhaps originating from traumatic experiences in the past, but even patients with a bad gag reflex may choose to be sedated. Patients who have difficulty getting numb from local anesthesia, or have especially sensitive teeth can also benefit from sedation dentistry.

“Sedation dentistry is one of the greatest improvements to dental care in the past decade,” says Dr. O’Neil, a sedation dentist in Florida. “I have been able to perform procedures on patients who otherwise would never have considered the work. People who are avoiding dentistry out of fear or sensitivity can achieve the smile they’ve always wanted with the help of sedation dentistry.”
